Counseling Services
The individual, family and group counseling services at YC focus on the development of
new skills to improve communication and decision-making while helping young people
learn to manage life conflicts in safe and constructive ways.

Crisis Response
A crisis situation is defined as a youth who has (1) runaway and is refusing to return
home, (2) been locked out of their home by their parent or legal guardian, or (3) is
reported to police as being ungovernable. A Crisis Counselor is available 24 hours / 365
days a year to respond in these situations when other options have been exhausted.

Juvenile Delinquency Diversion Program
The purpose of the Juvenile Delinquency Diversion Program (JDDP) is to prevent youth
from having further involvement with the criminal justice system by helping them improve
their capacity to communicate more effectively, make better decisions and constructively
resolve conflicts.

Family Solutions Program
This family group program helps families work together on group / family support, goal
attainment, parent-child relationships and communication, and decision-making.

Mentoring
The purpose of the YC Mentoring Program is to provide youth with a satisfying,
youth-centered, and emotionally engaging individual (one-on-one) relationship with an
adult volunteer.

Youth Leadership Program
The YC Youth Leadership Program engages young people ages 12 to 16 in leadership
training and development in order to create a better, safer community.
